A traditional type of Mason's Hygrometer in plastic frame. (the copper ones go green anyway!) Mounted with two spirit thermometers and completer with Moisture chart. The mositure level is found by comparing a dry bulb thermometer with another that has water evaporating off of it by means of a wick immersed in water (the little bottle) Used by gardeners as a frost prediction we believe. Exceptional good price.

The most accurate method to measure moisture is still by using this old fashioned instrument. Also called a Whirling Hygrometer (not to be confussed with the whirling Durbishers of Clive Dunn ilk!) Although plastic cased these are not cheap due to the more accurate mercury thermometers. The wet bulb has a wick which must be soak with water before and during use. Mositure chart included. Primarily used for industrial purposes.
