Weather Glass, hand-blown glass file, mounted with brass fitments, hand finished and lacquered on brown and cream backboard with some interpretations given and mounted in wooden frame (No guarantee that this works!) but a fun item worth experimenting with, where you hang will make a difference to crystal formations. We have developed the mixture over many years from an original recipe by Negretti and Zambra. No one really understands why the crystalls sometimes change, perhaps electrical tension , certainly temperature makes a difference. Originally hung outside these examples are for indoor use, near a window, on an outside wall or in an entrance hall etc. Click for larger image

Thunder bottle, possibly the oldest barometer known to man. Each barometer is hand-blown and ready to be filled with water and hung up in a suitable place - the water can spill out of the spout when stormy so be careful where you hang it! These also react to temperature change but if temperature is even then pressure alone will be seen. Made from very thin clear glass, suggested to hang with suitable string through glass loop. Filled with coloured water which some anti bacterial fluid can be added to hinder mould growths. Distilled water advised. Click for larger image
